Vanilya Cake

Whip up this easy vanilla cake when friends drop by. Simple and delicious, it's the perfect treat for unexpected guests!



  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 3/4 cups granulated sugar
  • 3 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 200ml whole milk
  • 200ml whole sunflower oil



  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour 9-inch round cake pan.

  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder. Set aside.

  3. In a large mixing bowl, mix together the oil and sugar until light and fluffy.

  4. Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.

  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, alternating with the milk. Begin and end with the dry ingredients, mixing just until combined.

  6. Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and smooth the top with a spatula.

  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the centre comes out clean.

  8. Allow the cakes to cool in the pans for 10 minutes, then transfer them to a wire rack to cool completely.

  9. Once cooled, you can frost and decorate the cake as desired.
