Mum's Easy Chocolate Chip Cookie Recipe: Simple, delicious, and made with love!

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup (226g) unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons corn flour (cornstarch)
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups semisweet chocolate chips

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper or silicone baking mats.

  2. In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla extract until light and fluffy.

  3. Add the eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.

  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.

  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until well combined.

  6. Stir in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed throughout the dough.

  7. Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto the prepared baking sheets, spacing them about 2 inches apart.

  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 8 to 10 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden brown.

  9. Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring them to wire racks to cool completely.

  10. Enjoy your delicious homemade chocolate chip cookies with a glass of milk or your favourite beverage!

Feel free to adjust the amount of chocolate chips according to your preference, and you can also add nuts or other mix-ins if desired. Happy baking!
